Madison LaMont '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madison (Maddie) LaMont and I am currently a 5'10" high school senior at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California. I have been playing volleyball for 8 years.  As a freshman I was a starter on the JV team as a MB and OH where we went undefeated 32-0. Sophomore year I was a captain and starting OH that played all 6 rotations and we ended the season 35-0. I was pulled up to varsity near the end of the season.

Last year, our varsity team made it to the Nor Cal Finals where we ended up second place in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs. Next year we are planning on making it one step further to CIF State Finals!

I am passionate about volleyball, my education, and being able to help others. I want to be a positive presence on and off the court. I am a current member of the National Honor Society. My goal is to play volleyball at the collegiate level while maintaining a high G.P.A.  I would like to go into the field of health services or child development. I want to make a positive impact in other people's lives and make the world a better place.

I am a strong asset to any volleyball team as I am highly coachable, a team leader, and a team player. I am an all-around player and specialize as an OH and OPP although I am well-versed as a MB and DS. I am a very dedicated, hard-worker, and I want to continue to learn all that I can to become a stronger, more valuable player that can help take my team as far as possible. I love to win and I will help motivate my teammates as we will become a strong family. I believe that when we all work together and support each other, only great things can happen. I am looking forward to finding the perfect fit for both myself and the team I am on.
