Kendra Chaffee '16 Recruiting Profile

I played basketball and soccer my entire life, then in 7th grade I played my first season of volleyball at my elementary school.  I fell in love with the atmosphere of the game!  I continued for three years playing three sports.  By my sophomore year in high school, I had to make a choice between basketball, soccer, and volleyball.  I loved them all but when I thought about which one I loved most, which sport I would be lost without, I knew it was volleyball!  My family was shocked with my decision, however I made it clear that I chose volleyball.

It was my love for the game that I became passionate making it my dream to play in college.  My long term goal is to achieve the best education possible while representing my college as a student athlete.  I feel that my coach ability, willingness to compete, and drive to win allow me to be a great teammate.

Currently, I am attending Del Oro High School in Loomis, California.  I played freshman volleyball, JV basketball, JV soccer, JV volleyball, and varsity volleyball. Along with sports, I am involved in leadership where I took on the role last year of being our homecoming parade chair, and this year, I became our school's homecoming chair. I am also currently active in Reflection (Women Empowerment) Club, Anti-Bully Club, CSF (California Scholarship Foundation).  I was very honored to have been selected as one of ten Peer Mentors (Student Counselors) who support our entire student population.  I am loving every minute of high school, at the same time, I look forward to playing volleyball in college!
