Riley Moeder '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Riley Moeder; I am 5"8 and weigh 130lb, I play both DS and S  . I have played volleyball for about 4 years in both club and School and as a freshman I made my high school varsity team as the starting DS and in club I am the starting DS and second setter.  As a player my competitive qualities drive me to push myself to always work as hard as I can.  I understand how to work as a teammate and help the team work hard and to stay focused. I put my whole heart into everything I do, especially volleyball. I have wanted to play college volleyball since I fell in love with the sport when I was 10. Volleyball is a part of who I am, it is a strong passion of mine and I can’t imagine not being able to play. I am a player that keeps going and strives to get better every time I step out on the court!
     For college I am looking for an opportunity where the classroom and the court are well balanced.  I consider myself a very hard worker both in the classroom and on the court; I am very coachable and love learning new techniques.  Although I am from the west coast I am very open to attending college outside of the west coast and am open to all opportunities presented to me.   My Volleyball goals in college are to earn playing time and to make a positive impact on the team. I would be ecstatic to be given an opportunity to continue my volleyball career in college as well as going to a school that gives me the best possible educational chance to succeed.
