September 2014 Hi...Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Ruby Dyson and I am in my senior year at Pasadena High School. I started playing volleyball when I was 9 years old and am excited to play my eighth year of club for Forza 1 West VBC on their 18 National team this year. One of the highlights of my club experience was when I was twelve and our team won the gold medal for the 13U National Division at the Junior National Championships. I have experience playing Middle Blocker, Right Side, and Outside Hitter.
I was honored to be voted co-MVP by my high school teammates last year and I was selected to play on the San Gabriel Valley All-Star team. My personal athletic goals include: to continue to increase my vertical jump and lateral quickness and to play collegiate volleyball. I am looking for a college that is academically challenging and a volleyball team that competes at a high level.
