Personal Statement
My goals are to attend a top university with a strong volleyball program, be a valuable contributor on the team, enjoy my college experience, and graduate with excellent career preparation.
My dream has always been to play volleyball at a top college. At age 11, I began competing on high-level teams for Charlie Brande at Orange County Volleyball Club (OCVBC). At Santa Margarita Catholic, I was a 3-year varsity starter for Coach Katy Daly. Last season we won our league, were champions of the Ann Kang Invitational (Hawaii), runner up at Durango Classic (Las Vegas), and finished in the Top 10 in Southern California. I look forward to being a student-athlete in a successful program, proudly representing my school and competing for championships!
This 2016 club season, I moved to Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club (SVVC) and play Middle Hitter and Opposite for Coach Kelli Talmage. Hitting, agility, athleticism, versatility and court awareness are my key assets, as well as strength and durability. I love the fast-paced side-to-side action and scoring off one foot at MH; as well as the hitting, blocking and passing at RS. Volleyball is my passion no matter what position I play. In addition to matches, practices and improving my skills, it's fun hanging out with my teammates.
Academics are my top priority. My interests are still developing, so I am not sure what major I will pursue. I am very active with the local Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics and Isaiah House (homeless shelter), and love working with kids and helping people. I come from a very competitive, athletic family and believe that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
I am seeking the best personal fit for school and volleyball, and relocating is not an issue. Thanks for your interest.
