From winning division 2 of CIF as a sophomore in 2014, it has taught me that hard work and dedication pays off in the end after a long, hard season of competing. My junior year 2015 we league again, just like in 2014, we also moved up to division 1 for CIF, we fought hard in each round of CIF that year, but we fell short in the semi-finals. It taught me that winning a trophy isn't everything that a player needs, or even wants, what they truly want is a group that is like family to them. I started to become interested with volleyball when I was at one of my friends house when I was about 11, his sisters played for the high school that I was going to end up going to, and they taught me the basics of volleyball.
I have learned that I am willing to do anything for the girl next to me, by not letting her down no matter how hard something is for me or as a team. Also I have learned that not every game has to be a win, as long as it was a hard fought battle, that has made me improve my skills and attitude at the end of the game. Academically, my goals for high school is to get As and Bs for each one of my semesters, along with in college to maintain As and Bs as well. I have had to overcome some minor obstacles on my journey through out my volleyball career, to the point to where it has gotten me to where I am today, not just as an athlete or as a student, but as a person. I am a unique player by being left handed and I have the ability to use my feet if necessary, because of my high skills with soccer.
