Personal Statement
Hi my name is Alyssa Black I am going to be a senior in the class of 2015 at Saint Mary's High School in Stockton, California. I am involved in the SADD Club, Pink Ladies club, and the Green Machine. I am 5'8 and 16 years old. I have a passion for volleyball and I hope to pursue my academic career and play volleyball at a collegiate level. I have been playing club volleyball since I was 11 every year. I have played for 3 clubs; Rage Volleyball Club, Delta Valley Volleyball Club, and Pulse Volleyball Club. I have been to Junior Olympics twice. A few things I can offer to my team is a good attitude, encouragement towards my teammates, and I can lead a good example for others. I give 110% in everything I do, whether it is school work or in volleyball. I enjoy playing beach volleyball on the side when I am not in season. I work out with a personal trainer four times a week and hope to improve my strength and agility. Since I have been training with him I have noticed an improvement of my game on the court. Aside from volleyball my preferred major is Nursing. I love helping anyone in need and love doing volunteer work to help out.
