Personal Statement
My name is Cameron Blakely and volleyball is my passion. I am a 5'9 Junior pin hitter (and libero) who plays six rotations for my team. This is my third year on Varsity at Campolindo High School in Moraga, CA. I also played club volleyball at some of the top clubs in the nation, including Vision Volleyball club and Absolute Volleyball club (my current club). I also played competitive soccer for a many years until my passion for volleyball caused me to focus on volleyball full time. I have been able to train at the highest levels, including with USA Volleyball at the A1 and Holiday Camp level, and I have competed with some of the best high school aged players around the country. Being a part of USA High Performance, I have made lifelong friends and learned more about volleyball than I ever had before. Along with USA training, I have worked with professional trainers to increase my strength, vertical, agility, and endurance. I overcame the adversity of a torn ACL suffered during club season in 2015, and now I am stronger than ever. It has always been my dream to play volleyball in college and I would be so excited to have that opportunity. I am not sure what I want to major in, but my interests include sports medicine, sports psychology, and law. Thank you for your time and interest!
