Personal Statement

The greatest thing that differentiates me from other athletes is my diligence, leadership, and commitment.  My diligence is shown through my training schedule.  I workout 3 days a week with my Personal Trainer at 5:30 am before school, and then go a full day of school working hard in my honors classes, and attend volleyball practice after.  I don't have to do these things however, I know that this is what it will take to play volleyball at a division I  level as well as the requirements to meet my goals academically in the future.  The neat things is that I have been attending DI Volleyball camps since 5th grade.

I am a leader on and off the court.  I make good/smart decisions in life while also working very hard to show my teammates that it is very important to have a good work ethic.  I was also named starting setter as a freshman & sophomore and co-captain as a sophomore.   I am mature for my age allowing me to lead and push my teammates to strive to be the best they can be.  I am a team player, work hard, and able to maintain a positive and confident demeanor on the court that has paid off for me in becoming a good leader and earning respect on and off the court.

Commitment is huge for me academically and athletically.  When I commit to something, I put 110% into it.  Regardless if I am pursuing a new goal or continuing one I already started, I'm never ok with being average.  I am passionate about my goal to be the best I can be and rise to the top, while still encouraging others.

Integrity is very important to me and I have very strong character displayed by doing what I believe is right even if it may not be the most popular with others.  I have a great rapport with my teammates, coaches, teachers, and the administration at my school.  I am involved in my community and participate in school activities that make a difference beyond my athletic and academic participation.   I believe that my choices today affect my tomorrow.  I am excited about and I have great aspirations for my future and for today, I will keep working hard to achieve my goals!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
