I have been playing volleyball since I was nine years-old. I played in middle school and started club at about age 11. I have been playing at the same club, Rancho Valley Volleybal Club (RVVC), for six years. Rancho Volleyball Club has a great program and most of my years there I have played for their two's team. Last year our 17 select team won 2 gold medals and qualified for nationals. One thing I pride myself on is my passion for the game, I've had many teamates, parents, and coaches who have told me I have a true passion/love for the game.
I have decided to focus on school and trying to enter the workforce so club volleyball was something I did not partake in this year. While I am not playing club I still touch a volleyball almost everyday. I am our high schools boys volleyball manager so I practice with the boys and often go to open gym with them whenever we can. I didn’t think volleyball at the college level was in my future but the world works in mysterious ways and I am always open to playing at a higher level.
I work best with positive feedback from coaches. I tend to be hard on myself, if I am not performing at a certain level, I tend to internalize it and be hard on myself. I need the right coach to bring out the best in me and encourage me to be the best player I can be.
