Personal Statement
My dad noticed that even though I skipped a grade, I was the tallest in my class and he wanted me to realize that height was a positive not a negative, so at the very young age of seven he introduced me to volleyball and was my first coach. Ever since my first year playing, I knew that this was the sport for me. I started playing club volleyball at the age of nine and have been playing ever since. The most common thing I hear my coaches say about me is how coachable I am and how I put 110% into everything I do both on and off the court.
I am 100% devoted to my academics and to improving my volleyball skills. I am willing to do whatever it takes to move forward to the next level in this sport. I am blessed to have been a part of the USA volleyball pipeline for the past 2 years, attending both an all skills training camp in 2015 and a member of the Girls A2 Youth National Team in 2016 where I was ranked 10th out of the 32 Middles invited to attend. I am a LaSallian Student Ambassador for my school, which is helping me to improve both my public speaking and leadership skills and have maintained a high GPA throughout all my years of high school and middle school. I am challenging myself academically by taking 4 Honors classes this year
