My name is Megan Herzog, and I have been playing volleyball since I was in 5th grade. My main position on the court is setter, but I have worked hard over the years to work on my defense skills and right side attacks as well.
For club, I have been a setter and right side since I was 12 years old. This past club season, I successfully ran a 5-1 offense and my high school season, I ran a 6-2 with a setter who was a senior. My vertical jump with a 3-step approach is 8 feet 10 inches and my block jump is 8 feet 6 inches.
My favorite part about volleyball is that from the moment I step on the court, I do everything in my power to keep every single point going. I am a motivated team player who always makes sure that my teammates know that they can count on me. I am a scrappy player who brings 100% every time I step on the court. In addition to working hard, I bring a consistent and positive energy.
I am the starting setter for my high school team, Marin Academy. This fall season of 2016, my high school varsity team made it to the finals of State in Northern California and we placed 3rd in Division 5 in the state.
I work hard to balance all areas of my life as I am a firm believer that in order to reach my goals, I need to put my best effort forward.
