Achieving the Citrus Belt League Champions title has been the highlight of my volleyball career. Not only did our team win first place, but it was also the season that made me fall in love with volleyball and realize that playing at the college level is definitely something I want to pursue. I started playing volleyball when I was 10 but began to play at a more competitive level in high school. I have never been more passionate about something, and improving my volleyball skills is my main goal almost every day.
Not only has volleyball helped me to become a better student, but a better person as well. Volleyball has taught me time management, self discipline, and how to work hard for what I want. Managing my time effectively, while being a competitive athlete and maintaining a high GPA, is not always easy, but I feel over the last couple of years I have been able to perfect this. Throughout my volleyball career, I have learned responsibility and leadership. Being a leader on and off the court is one of my key attributes that helps me contribute to every team, organization, or club that I am a part of.
School has always been very important to me. My grades come first, and I continue to hold high expectations for myself as I journey though high school and transition into college. I hope to continue into medical school after my first four years of college and pursue a job in the medical field. Being a three sport student athlete has been my favorite part about high school. I am excited to continue my education along with my athletic career, because school and volleyball is what makes me who I am.
