My name is MaKenna Morgan. I currently play for Juggernaut Volleyball Club on the 17 gold team, as well as Centaurus High School. I am 5'6 and 130 lbs. I currently have an approach jump of 8'9" and a block jump of 8'7". I started playing volleyball just before the beginning of my freshmen year, after switching schools my sophomore year where I became the starting setter on the varsity team my junior year. Volleyball has taught me so much that I apply in my everyday life. It has taught me dedication, teamwork and discipline. I've learned to work better with others both on and off the court, this has helped me create great bonds with my teammates while also getting the job done! It has also taught me dedication and discipline both on the court and in school. I take my training and schooling very seriously! I am in the gym anywhere from 4-6 days a week as well as conditioning at home. As for school I held a cumulative 3.9 weighted GPA holding a 4.0 my sophomore year. I am continuing to make my academic schedule more rigorous with more advanced courses raising my GPA this year to a 4.3. I love school and being very involved, not only in sports but in other extra curricular activities as well. I participate in student council, competitive bowling and the 360 web leader program at my high school. As for school size and climate these will not particularly sway my choice of school. Financial aid and scholarships will really help my family and I with school, especially with my younger sister not too far behind me. I would like to study elementary education. This is a dream I have had ever since I was a little kid and I could not imagine doing anything else. My goals for playing volleyball in college would be to represent my school as well as leave a positive impact on my team and my school! I Also want to continue to improve my skills and become the best setter and opposite I can be! Another goal is to be successful not matter where I end up for college.
