Volleyball has been an important aspect of my life ever since I began middle school and my commitment to the sport has grown with each year. Heading into high school, I knew that I wanted to continue with volleyball. To better prepare myself. I wanted to prove that I was capable of playing at a high school level. Because of my efforts, I was placed on a higher-level team. During those years I spent on the team, I have grown not only as a volleyball player but also as a leader. Volleyball takes my mind off my busy school life. However, when I'm not playing, my other interests are in the sciences, mathematics, and health. My passion for this sport has given me so many special attributes. Being on a team my whole school year has given me collaborative abilities where I have become a more reliable and supportive teammate. The role of leading a team has extended beyond my athletics and allowed me to recognize my capabilities of managing and leading a group. The high level of competition in my volleyball career has enabled me to gain sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication. I spent the majority of my life on the court; my intense competition experiences are something unique to me that hardly any athlete has the opportunity to compete similarly, and I would trade any of my time spent playing the sports I love. Though I have such an intense passion and love for volleyball, my interest in going to Texas is greater. I spent all this time thinking if I would ever play collegiate volleyball, but the top priority of my collegiate education goes towards academics, opportunities, and preparation for school.
