Playing college volleyball has been a dream of mine since the 7th grade. However, I am not looking for just any ordinary school. I am looking for a school that will take me beyond the game of volleyball and will bring me closer to Christ. I want to be part of a team that does everything for the Lord, on and off the court, and also believes that beyond wins and losses there lies a greater cause. I am very committed to this sport, to my team and to my coaches; I always encourage and support my teammates. I have a very competitive and confident personality, but I do not find my identity in winning or losing.
Although I have learning disability, I am driven to do my best and overcome any obstacle with which I am faced. I know that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to because “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13). This has been my motivation academically and on the court. I am always ready to take on new challenges. I love the game of volleyball, and I know that I would never walk away from any expectations at the collegiate level. Thank you for taking the time and reading my personal statement.
God Bless,
