Megan Gettings '16 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball when I was in the sixth grade with no experience or knowledge of the game. My first Coach took an interest in me and developed my skills. Each year going forward, I have set goals,worked out in the off season,joined volleyball clubs playing in every pickup game possible. I started as a Setter and worked my way into an Outside Hitter with the guidance of my Coaches and working hard every practice. I was recognized at the end of my sophomore season and brought up to the Varsity Team as a setter. My junior year I started Varsity as an Outside Hitter and excelled in this position as I encouraged my team mates to do their best. I was selected as a Captain for my senior season and continue to work hard every day as a student athlete developing my skills, setting academic goals and preparing myself to be a leader.
My involvement in volleyball has developed me into the well-rounded student athlete I am today.
I will continue to grow on and off the court and if given the opportunity I know I can accomplish anything.
