Rebecca (Becky) Schickley '13 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a freshmen that has played volleyball this past fall season for Jacksonville University, in Jacksonville, Florida. I am both a 5'10'' Outside Hitter and a Defensive Specialist. At Jacksonville University, I was recruited for an OH but was moved specifically to a DS for the better of my team. My main focus and strength right now is in my DS abilities. I am looking to transfer to a school that is able to suit my needs. The experiences I have went through as a freshmen (i.e. winning the Atlantic Sun Conference, competing in the NCAA tournament against UF) have all been great experiences but I believe something better is out there for me. I am a very competitive and passionate person about the game and I dedicate my full self to my teammates, coaches, and the university. I am looking to be an impact and major influence on a team where I can make that impact on the court. My achievements also shine in the classroom in my academic achievements. I was recently presented a certificate of my academic achievements with being placed on the Dean's List for receiving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in the Fall 2013 term. I am also a Elementary Education major looking for the right school to lead me to success with a great program. My academic and athletic achievements, passion, drive, and hard work are what set me apart.
