Personal Statement
My name is Kirsten Kuhl and I am a volleyball player at Western Illinois University. (NOTE: Although I graduated from high school in 2013 I have listed my graduation year on the NCSA site as 2014 to indicate my availabilty and since the site is not primarily designed for transfers).
I am at the end of my freshman year and I wish to bring my skills and experience to another program. Therefore, I have received a letter of release from WIU and have posted my info on NCSA for those schools interested in adding a setter/RS/OH to their roster.
I am a 6'1" setter who has run a quick tempo 5-1 offense. I am also more than capable and willing to hit and run a 6-2. I value and work hard at defense and I am an aggressive and consistent server. In addition, I have also played outside hitter and right side (and middle too) throughout my volleyball career.
I am currently enrolled in the elementary education program at WIU. By the end of my fall semester, I completed 20 credit hours with a GPA of 3.6 and at the end of spring semester I will have successfully earned a total of 33 credit hours.
I am from Parkland, Florida and played for Tribe Volleyball before my time at WIU. Dean Barboza is the club director and he was my coach for several years. If you wish to speak to a professional about my proficiency on the court, please contact Coach Barboza at 954-235-4577.
I would really like the opportunity to speak with you about your program in further detail if you feel there is an opportunity for me to make a positive impact on your program.
Included in my NCSA profile (as Transcripts) are the Permission to Contact from WIU and my Resume that outlines my school info and activities and my volleyball experience.
I intend to prepare a skills video within the next week and will be happy to share it with you upon completion or you can search online and find some video from my 2012 club season and 2013 high school season - rest assured, I have improved greatly since that video was shot.
Thank you for reading.
Warmest Regards,
Kirsten Kuhl
