Thank you for viewing this profile.
I think that it is most important to keep growing as an athlete, through hard work, dedication and the highest of ethics. I want my character, every day to be what people see about me. It is who I am. I think that a life filled with a good work ethic, honesty and compassion can create a person who is not afraid to work hard for what she wants, while doing it in a way that she can be proud of. I strive to be that person. I am a passionate person when it comes to my family, my academics, my athletics and my friends. Being true to myself is very important in my life; I strive to make a difference.
Giving back is something that I feel is very important. There have been many teachers and coaches who have made quite an impact on my life. Because of that, I have learned that it is important to take some of my time and give to those who might benefit from some of the training that I have been fortunate enough to have. I have been working with local volleyball camps and programs, helping to coach and teach players, from beginners to advanced. Also, I have been the chairperson of my SGA program to participate in the "12th Man Camp," where students take time to help coach children and young adults with disabilities. In giving to others, I have also learned much about sports and about myself. I believe that it is very important to lead by example, both on and off of the court.
I appreciate your taking the time to read this and my profile.
