Personal Statement
Ever since the first time I set foot on a volleyball court in sixth grade, I knew I had found my on true passion. Throughout middle school I put my heart into learning basics and pushed myself to be able to compete at the high school level. When I saw my name on the Varsity roster freshman year, I knew if I kept pushing myself I cold reach my dreams of playing college ball. I have always had a desire to help people and make a difference. Following in my grandmother and mother's footsteps has inspired me to peruse a degree in nursing, which I know will a demanding field of study, but I am ready for the challenge. My family and I have invested so much into my volleyball career. I am different than other prospective athletes because I have a true, burning passion for volleyball and will never settle for just being "okay" or just "good enough". Once I set my heart and mind on some thing, nothing can stand in my way.
I am now in my freshman year of plying college volleyball at a Lincoln Trail College, a juco in Robinson, Illinois. Playing college ball has been everything I ever imagined it to be and my goal now is to play at an even higher and more competitive level beyond junior college.
