Personal Statement

Volleyball is my Passion. I started playing competitively when I was 12 years old and have always had a desired to play at the next level. I received a scholarship to play volleyball for the Gulf Coast State College, a Junior College in Panama City, Florida and I have been the starting setter both my Freshman and Sophomore year.  This year, I was also selected as Captain.  I am always looking for ways to improve my game. I am a leader on and off the court and surround myself with positive people. I believe the relationships I have off the court are a direct reflection of the relationships I have on the court. I was also starting setter of my high school Varsity team and club team for three straight years and was selected “ All-Area Setter and All-District Setter, First Team” as a Junior,  "All-District Setter" Second Team as a Sophomore and “Best All-Around Player” on my club team.  I know that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to play at the collegiate level and I am willing to do what it takes to be successful athletically as well as academically. I am currently looking to further my collegiate career in volleyball at a four year university in a program which will provide me with the building blocks to be successful in life during college and after graduation.
