Personal Statement
My name is Riley Nowicki and I am a student athlete from Windermere Preparatory School in Florida. I am a student with a 4.0 GPA in my freshman year. I take all advanced or honors classes and I excel greatly in all of them. In college, I will keep moving forward and continue to get straight A’s because my goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon. This means I must balance my time well, which I already do daily.
On the volleyball side of things, I hope to get a scholarship to either a Division I or Division II school. I play volleyball as a Libero/DS on my club team, but on my school team this past season I played all positions. On all of my teams, I am already a leader, hard worker, and determined player. I never quit and try to keep my team up if we are down. I also respect my coaches and always do what they tell me because from this, I can only get better. My club and school teams rely on me for defense and serve receive because I am one of the best in this category.
Both of my parents played college athletics and did go on to become doctors, so I know it can be done if I put in enough effort and time. I will be an asset to any team I am on.
