Personal Statement
Joining the Eastside Volleyball Team and the accomplishment of persuing this interest on the Varsity team derived from my relationship with my grandfather, who had been diagnosed with cancer a year prior, with no cure. Not only did my interest in the career of radiology originate from my desire to help those in the future with his similar condition, but my passion for Volleyball arose after understanding his love for the game. His last wishes consisted of living by the beach to enjoy the game, which I was focused on participating in to strengthen our relationship.
After he passed, my eagarness to improve my skills and understanding of the game grew stronger. My skills are not the only things proving my success in my position, defensive specialist, but my ideology of always formulating a defense against any oppositions that may cause one to fail creates my connection to the position. I not only strive to make my grandfather and family proud in academics and in the game, but I put forth all effort, skills, and guidance in order to end with a victory.
Getting the most playing time is not my main focus in any game of Volleyball. The level of competition and success is what I aspire to conquer with a team of others who have the same passions. I will not only devote my efforts, but I will give my all to every game, practice, and lesson involved in the sport for any coach, team, or school.
