Personal Statement
My name is Hannah Messer. I began playing volleyball in fall of 2018 for my middle school team, The Warriors, and was named MVP for the season. In 8th grade I started on the middle school team, where I served as the team captain. I also started for the Varsity team that same year. I have just completed my third year with Prolink Volleyball. I have been invited to play up on the Prolink Volleyball U16-1 team to go to nationals late June 2021. I have also played 2 years of basketball for my school team. Two years ago I won the Most Improved award for my school's volleyball and basketball team. I plan to continue playing volleyball and look forward to playing for a great college team when I graduate from high school.
I am an 'A' student. It is important to me to maintain excellent grades in school. Although I spend many hours in practice I always make time to study in order to keep my grades up. I am independent in my studies and always strive for perfection. I know I may not always get a perfect grade but I continue to work towards that on a daily basis. I have heard from my teachers how much the enjoy having me in their classes because I work so hard and always keep a great attitude. They say I am encouraging to my peers as well has helping when they need help. This year I took my first AP class, AP Human Geography. Next year I look forward to taking AP US History and AP English Language.
