Chantel Montayre '18 Recruiting Profile

Aloha! My name is Chantel Montayre. I am a 5'4 Libero/DS from Kaneohe, HI. I am a Senior in high school and will be graduating with the class of 2018 from Maryknoll School. I have been playing volleyball ever since the age of 7. Once my mom signed me up for Extreme Volleyball Clinics, you couldn't keep me away from the gym and I would constantly have a ball in my hands always setting and passing the ball against the wall at my house. I am coached by Luis Ramirez (former player of the national team) at Rainbows Volleyball Club Hawaii (18's). My goals for volleyball are to play at a high collegiate level and to contribute as much as I can to the team both on and off the court. One of my dreams always has been to be a nurse. I am looking to graduate from college with a nursing degree and to come home back to Hawaii and work with special needs kids or as a nurse in the Emergency Room. On my free time, I love to go to the beach and surf with my friends, I also like to hang out with my family and siblings and just have a good time. I volunteer at the Hawaiian Humane Society, because I love to work with animals and help them find a good home! Thank you!!
