I would like to thank all the coaches who took interest in me and my sister. We were both recruited and will be attending New England College this fall. Thank you again
I am a 17-year-old high school senior and have earned a spot on our D2 varsity team. I participate in speed and quickness training, Hawaii Optimum Performance, and other skill level training. In addition to my regular school rigor, I am in my 4th year of Army JROTC and a member of the Raider Team (military skills and physical training competition team). In my off time I have been volunteering as an assistant coach for future volleyball players (kids 10 and under) and at the Polynesian Cultural Center as an intern sharing the Polynesian culture through dance, crafts, games and stories. For the second year I participated on the competition Polynesian Dance Team and we won first place at the annual contest for the second year in a row. I finished my independent research project studying Mauri Poi Ball dance and was selected to present to the school.
I am a military child and have lived and traveled all over the world, so I have a lot of different experiences at different schools around the country. I am looking forward to staying in Hawaii through my high school career. My college goal is to play volleyball as either an outside or middle at the collegiate level. This year for club I am playing on Mau Loa U17s. This year I had the option to play U18s but that season usually ends around Feb. I wanted to play competitively until I leave for college. We plan on competing at the Vegas Showcase and Hawaii combine.
I have a twin sister (Jessica and is being utilized the same way. Being twins we work well together when we are on the court at the same time and we hope to attend the same school together. We are looking forward to an exciting college experience.
