Personal Statement
I started playing volleyball about five years ago and since then it has shaped me into a confident, competitive, yet humble teammate that I've always aspired to be. I may have started playing later than most people but within the amount of time I have played, I have gained so much knowledge about the game and friendships that will continue long after the final play. I've followed in my mothers footsteps by playing this sport, but along the way I fell in love with the game as well. Its become my passion and want to continue by playing at a collegiate level.
I have been playing the middle position throughout all 5 years. However, I am a very versatile player and can play outside, and right side as well. No matter what position I am in, I will play it to the best of my ability. I am a competitive and aggressive player, and will give my 110% at every practice and game. While staying humble to my opponents, I am also a positive teammate. Encouraging every one of them to strive to their best. I love the sport and am ready to take it to the next level by playing college ball.
While staying focused on the court, I can transition that focus into the classroom. I am a hard worker, always on task, self-disciplined, and motivated. I maintain a 4.0 GPA, striving to achieve excellence in all my classes. This will continue to be a goal of mine in college. Nothing less will suffice. Luckily school comes easy to me, so I am a perfect candidate for a student athlete.
I can manage a high GPA and still give it my all on the court. I can acquire what I learn, and apply it in both the classroom and the court. Over the years I have been playing I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge that is useful on and off the volleyball court. This sport is a huge part of my life. And I would love if I could continue to expand my knowledge of it in college.
