Jaclyn Ritter is currently an assistant coach for Armed Forces Recreation league (14 and under girls). Fall 2014, she played for Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia (Great South Athletic Conference). Jaclyn played as opposite or right-side hitter. Jaclyn attended Assets High School, Honolulu, Hawaii and played for Pakela club volleyball team. She loves all sports and gets her love of competition, team work, and dedication from her parents. Raised as a military child, Jaclyn knows the importance of respect for the rules, and value of character. Jaclyn has played all types of sports throughout her youth (including softball, tennis, track and field, cross-country, basketball, and swimming) starting at the young age of 3 years old. She first played volleyball in the 7th grade at Wheeler Middle School, Hawaii 2008, where she was coached by All-Army Men's volleyball member, SSG Teague Bode. Jaclyn fell in love with volleyball ever since and has continued to play each fall season throughout High School. Her Sophomore and Junior season she received the Most Valuable Player award and also selected as the Team Co-Captain her Junior season at Zama American High School, Japan 2012-2013. While at Zama American High School, Jaclyn was coached by Kelly Catherina, a former member of the Humboldt State University women's volleyball team (California). Coach Kelly inspired Jaclyn to always do her best, work hard at her sport, and be a team player. Jaclyn has natural athleticism, as seen in her ability to react quickly to the ball, always staying focused, and seeing the play through. Jaclyn is scheduled to graduate from Assets High School in May 2014, with a 3.4 GPA and plans to spend the summer playing volleyball with her club team and life guarding.
