The most important thing to know about me as an athlete is that I believe in always getting better, no matter what the circumstances. I make it my personal responsibility to never make the same mistake twice. I have learned since I first started playing was that I always need to play as hard as I can, and every single point should matter to me. It doesn’t matter who we are playing, or whether it is the championship game to just a scrimmage, giving one hundred percent all the time is what makes great athletes. I am very coachable, I love taking correction from coaches and being able to see the difference it makes in my game. I know that there is always a way you can improve and something to learn from every coach. Something that the coaches I have now have taught me is “it doesn’t matter who we play, it matters how we play”. This has given our team a certain fire in all our games. I am not intimidated by any team and know that any team can win on any given day. All of my hard work hasn’t been because of anyone but myself. Everything I do is purely because of my love of the game. I have a passion for the sport I wouldn’t have thought was possible, and have yet to find anyone who understands just how much I love it. The pure adrenaline rush of getting a perfect assist and the feeling you get when your whole team rushes to the middle cheering can’t be compared to anything else. People have always asked me if I will get burned out, but I have never worried about that because there is no way I would rather spend my time, and it will never end because I am always getting better.
I have always been a leader on my teams and try to bring everything I can. I know that your attitude on the court is everything. I have always had a hungry, “bring it” attitude and that is something that has made me stand out as a player. Competition and pressure brings out the best in me, and there is nothing I love more than a challenge. I thrive under difficult circumstances and love being pushed. I don’t need a coach to motivate me because the will to win and give my best is something that I naturally have. This longing to be the best is something that doesn’t just show in my athletics, it also shows in the classroom. I have been a straight A student for as long as I can remember. I take pride in giving my best work. It is also important to me to have a good relationship with all of my teammates and my coaches. I know that I would make a great addition to any team because I work harder then anyone else, and have worked my whole life to gain the skill set I have today.
