When I was younger, I played variety of different sports. Throughout the years though, volleyball stuck out as my passion. Since then, I have competitively played volleyball for Sky High (5 years) and my high school's varsity team (3 years) since I was a freshman. For Sky High, my team and I have have been to nationals every year and we always make an impact. In 2011, we received 5th place at AAU's in Orlando and also qualified for nationals in Atlanta. As for my high school team, we always work hard year round as a team. My freshman year I was not a starter, but we did win our State Championships class 4A. My sophomore year, I was a starter and we were runner up for the State Championships and ranked number one in the nation by Prep Volleyball for 6 weeks. Every day I arrive at practice with a desire to learn and get better; I always try to work on being an active communicator and supporter for my team. Playing volleyball is more than a sport to me and I can't imagine not playing it. For this reason, I strongly look towards playing volleyball in college. Not only do I look towards college for volleyball, but also for strong academics. I pride myself on being a student athlete with a GPA of 4.01 and Honor Roll recongition for all semesters and also a part of National Honors Society. I hope to study Business Communications/journalism and graduate with a readiness for the real world.
