Personal Statement
As a versatile DS, I have been training at Illinois Performance Volleyball.
In my 2012-2013 season I was selected to play on the 15-Black team as the starting middle. During the, (2013-2014) I was selected for the 16-Black team, also playing as the starting middle. Playing club volleyball has allowed me to develop my skills greatly as well as develop a love for the game. This has allowed me to compete at the highest level of intensity.
During my 2012-2013 season my team placed first in our power league, and third at Nationals in Chicago. This year, I look forward to competing at the Mid-east National Qualifiers in Indianapolis.
This season (2014-2015) I have become a versatile DS. I have played all three front row positions this year, however I have found that I am naturally talented in the back row, and hope to pursue a DS position in college.
One of my many goals as a collegiate athlete is to be satisfied with my decisions and live up to the expectations I have for myself. I wish to attend a school that challenges me academically as well as athletically. What sets me apart from most other athletes and students is my commitment and dedication to volleyball as well as all of my goals. I strive to use every minute of practice to enhance my skills and become the best team and individual player I can be. Not only do I work hard at practice, but I also use my off time to participate in high intensity training with Bryce True, a level three trainer. I am dependable and can compliment a team by bringing something different to the table. My versatility as a middle sets me apart from other athletes, as I am strong in the front row as well as the back row. I love to bring intensity to the court and support my fellow team-mates. I set my goals high and continue to adjust my goals, always seeking bigger and better accomplishments.
