Hello, my name is Gabriela or for short, Gabi! I started playing volleyball in 7th grade having not much experience besides playing with friends for fun outside. It was my first time being on a sports team and practicing at a sport. I was one of the taller girls in my grade, but the coach put me in the back row. I always wanted to be a hitter but there were other girls better then me. So that is when I realized hard work will get me there. So with countless amount of hours spent each week, I progressed and got better. Freshman year I joined club for the first time, and with the hard work and dedication, I made one of the highest teams as a middle hitter, and for my high school season I got pulled up to play for JV. There is always room for improvement, so I kept practicing and my junior I became an outside hitter half way through my varsity school season, and I played all around becoming one of the most improved players. I am not afraid to ask how to do something or what can I do to make myself better. I am always there for my teammates no matter what it is and am always positive even in the lowest of times. I am a very dedicated player and will spend the time needed to get myself better. That is the same mind set for my grades also. I try my hardest to achieve the highest results for my grades and volleyball!
