After graduating high school, I plan to further my education at a college that provides atmospheric science as a four-year undergraduate program. After receiving a bachelor's degree in my major, I intend on going to grad school to get a master's degree in atmospheric science. During this time, I plan on working at a National Weather Service weather station doing research. My final educational goal is to complete my PhD in atmospheric sciences.
During my four-year undergrad experience, I wish to play varsity volleyball at my prospective college. I have taken college courses in my high school and have played volleyball year round, so adjusting to the college curriculum while playing volleyball will not be very difficult for me. In addition to making the transition from high school academics to collegiate academics, the transition from knowing virtually everyone in my town to knowing no one will be just as smooth. I have participated in volleyball clubs at least an hour away from my town where I knew none of the girls on my teams all four years of my club career, but making friends with all of them was a breeze.
Playing volleyball in college has been my dream since 6th grade. I have played almost all positions on the court, including outside and opposite hitter, middle blocker, and setter. In every position, I played all the way around, so it is safe to say that I love every aspect of volleyball.
