Personal Statement
From the day I passed my first volleyball, to my team's 3rd place finish at state in eighth grade, to today, my love for volleyball has continued to grow. 25 points, 6 players, 3 touches, and 1 court, this is what I love the most. To me, it does not matter if I have to make sacrifices to play the game I love. I have dreamed of playing college volleyball for years now, and I want it to be a reality. I'm currently in my junior year and my high team finished with a record of 32-6. We won our own invitational, the Eisenhower, and the St. Thomas More tournaments; we also placed second in the Silver Flight at the BSN Nike Crossroads Classic.
This club season I will be playing with Twin City under Mike Deterding. We are playing in the 17s/18s Great Lake Power League. Our tournament date are January 25-26, February 1-2, and March 15-16. More information can be found at http://www.greatlakescenter.com/9271/11811.html
Currently, I'm interested in pursuing a career in the medical field and hope to continue my education in medical school, after I graduate with my bachelors degree. I am looking for a school with a strong science department. My dream is to play college volleyball at a school that challenges me academically and athletically. I have huge dreams, and I know that it will not be easy to fulfill them, but I'm willing to work hard to achieve what I truly want.
