Personal Statement
My name is Abigail Fitzpatrick, but my friends all call me Abi. I am sophomore in college at Heartland Community College and played volleyball for Mt. Pulaski High School and Illini Elite Volleyball Club in Bloomington, Illinois, while maintaining a GPA of 3.68 out of 4.0.
Freshman Season at SIU Carbondale- Played in 23 matches and 94 sets during her freshman campaign … was the first Saluki freshman to reach the century mark in digs since 2017 and finished with 267 digs and 19 aces … made her collegiate debut in the win over Alabama State (9/14) and dug out 17 balls and added her first career ace … tallied double-digit digs in 16 of the 23 matches she played in … finished with 20-plus digs in two matches, which included a season-high 25 digs against Loyola (11/9) … recorded double-digit digs in seven-straight matches to close out the 2019 season … served at least one ace in 15 matches, including two matches with three aces.
Sophomore Season - Currently playing for Heartland Community College and waiting for our postponed season to start. Ready to take on the challenge as Libero on the 1st team in program history.
I am majoring in Agg/Marketing.
