My name is Macy Hancock. I am a junior setter. I got my start playing volleyball in third grade and have been hooked ever since. I definitely have a passion and love for this game. It is my greatest desire to compete in college and I am working hard towards attaining this goal. As a junior, I have been the starting Varsity setter for the past two seasons. This season, we ran a 5-1. We finished the year with a 33-4 record. I was named to four All-Tournament Teams, voted MVP by my teammates, broke the school record for Most Assists with 744 and broke my own school record for Best Serving Percentage. Post season I was nominated to the second team All Conference Team, leading the conference in assists. I was also named to the first team All Area All Stars Team 2014 (Illinois) and the first team Bi-State All Area Team (Iowa-Illinois). I have played club for the past six years and played sand volleyball last summer. All of my experience has helped develop my skills as well as helped me become the well rounded player that I am. I have a strong work ethic and am always striving to surpass my personal best. I am a leader on the court and am very driven to achieve. My aspirations are to find an institution that will allow me to work hard to achieve my goals both academically and athletically. I hope for the opportunity to show what I have to offer.
