I have been competitive since I can remember. I have been playing volleyball since I was 13. When I started playing I was an outside hitter. My Varsity coach moved me to setter my Sophomore year so we could run a 6-2 offense when I was a junior. I fell in love with setting immediately. I'm currently in my senior season and my team is 31-1. I am very excited about post season with a goal of playing in the State Tournament.
My game continues to develop and I have been working with my private coach who was a 4 year starting setter for Mississippi State. My goal is to continue playing volleyball in college. I love the game and competition of the game, and I think it will help mold me into a successful person after graduation.
Both of my parents are very successful in their careers, and are great role models for me. I understand that with hard work, discipline, and persistence I can do anything I set my mind to. I am a very athletic player and I am coachable. My dad has been a coach most of his adult life and I have heard him talk about coachability since I was very young. He has always preached to me that I am not perfect and can always get better. My mom tells me the same thing about life outside of sports.
Bottom line, I know I can and will work very hard to play this game I love in college. My parents and coaches believe it too! Trust me my dad knows athletes and he wouldn't lie to me.
