Annette Weldon '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Annette(Anna) Weldon. I am from McHenry Illinois, and I'm in the class of 2018. My primary position is setter and I've been playing club and School volleyball for five years. This past year I played my third highschool season. This school season at Faith Lutheran Highschool I was the starting setter on the varsity team and we ran a 5-1 offense. This year I was very fortunate to be a part of the 2016 varsity team that won our first regional championship in Faith Lutheran High School history and we advanced all the way to the sectional championship game where our season ended. At the end of the season I was awarded all conference honorable mention. This year I am playing club volleyball for Adversity's 17 purple and we will be playing in the Great Lakes Power League. We will also be playing at the Indianapolis and Northern Lights Qualifier. I am looking forward to an upcoming challenging year this season. My teachers tell me that I am a good student and that I am very responsible. This year I took two honors class and I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I have been playing volleyball since I was 13 and I am very passionate about my sport. I take speed and agility twice a week, I weight train, and I have a private lesson once a month so I can continue to grow and improve my skills. My coaches tell me I am very coach able and that I am always eager to learn and improve from my mistakes. I am also a good teammate I always cheer on and encouraging my teammates. I would love to continue to play volleyball in college where I can contribute to a program's success and receive a great education.
