Personal Statement

I have grown up in a small town, and when you live in the middle of a cornfield, it can be challenging to gain as much exposure as athletes in more populated areas. I am grateful to my 4th grade PE teacher who thrust a camp form into my hands and more or less introduced me to volleyball, it has since become my favorite sport.

Volleyball has shown me how determined I can be, not only in sports but in school as well. I intend to carry my 4.0 with me throughout my entire academic career. One unique thing about me would have to be my versatility.  My coach has played me at every position on the court besides middle front and back. I am confident that I could play any position needed of me.
