Personal Statement
Athletically, I am a take charge person on the floor, play with great intensity, and I love anything that is related to volleyball; I love to watch, to play, and to help teammates develop skills on and off of the floor. I have a drive for perfection which pushes me to analyze my play and work hard to make it better. I am a flexible player and will play where coach needs me, from opposite, to outside, back row and even middle. I have a high level of communication and am a good listener. When coach gives me advice, I try to apply it immediately.
The weight training in my PE class as well as being a sprinter and triple jumper on the varsity track team has improved my strength, agility and jumping ability, all of which are important to the game of volleyball.
In the classroom I have the same competitive drive to be the best I can be, understanding my work and helping others to achieve their highest potential. I can walk others through the process of an answer in the same way I can analyze their volleyball skill and help them to identify the issue they are having.
I would like to graduate college with a masters degree in psychology and work in a school setting, or in Kinesiology/sport science to assist others in their fitness goals.
My dream would be to continue my volleyball career after high school and to be able to coach my own team some day.
