Personal Statement
I am a explosive 5'6” Libero. This past Club season I tried out and made the USAV High Performance Volleyball Training program as a Libero. I play for the Wildcat Juniors VBC on 16 Elite in aspirations of being able to play at the highest division possible and major in dentistry. I am a very explosive, quick and a knowledgeable court general. Currently in 10th grade, I challenge myself daily to improve my skills in high school. Last year as a freshman at Loyola Academy, I made the Junior Varsity team as a starting 6 rotation outside hitter, and was chosen floor captain by my coach. This year as a sophomore, I was the JV teams Libero and I was voted Best Defensive Player. This season, my JV team made Loyola Academy history by being the first JV girls volleyball team to go undefeated 32-0, and along with winning the GCAC Championship tournament.
I have been playing since I was in 4th grade at a local club named Energy VBC. I just recently finished my club season playing on the highest 15u Elite team at Wildcat Juniors Volleyball Club. My team 15u Elite Black team played in the 16 Open division in the Great Lakes Power League and placed 6th at the end of the season. My 15u Elite team placed first at the Northern Lights Qualifier and placed 5th at USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Detroit, MI. I am now starting as the libero on 16u Elite.
I hope to improve and achieve one of my main goals, which is to play college volleyball. Although athletics are a huge part of my life, academics are very important to me. I strive to maintain all A's and have had a 4.0 GPA since the beginning of middle school. After recently finishing my third season at Wildcat Juniors, I feel I have improved greatly from the coaching, athletic performance training, and private sessions.
My leadership, quickness and knowledge of the game has made my defense and back row presence one of my strongest assets.
