Volleyball has been a huge part of my life since I was 13 years old. For years I competed in gymnastics but made the transition to volleyball and found it to be the perfect fit. I have been on my schools volleyball team since I was in 7th grade and I've made very noticeable improvements every year. When I was an oncoming freshman going into high school, I was on the freshman team. I was just another player they could have on the team, but after that school season I went right into club season and I made huge improvements. I came back the next summer going to be a sophomore and made the varsity team. All the private lessons and time I spent during the club season allowed me to skip over JV along with all the other players in my class. I was the youngest on the team, the starting outside hitter, and all around player on varsity. This year, my junior year, I came back after another club season and was a much needed player on the court. I worked hard and maintained my position on the team as an outside and DS. This year I was awarded Team MVP and was the only player who made all conference from my school. I'm currently in club season right now and I'm on the Dunes 18 Nationals team. Going into my senior year in 2018, I look forward to seeing how far my abilities can go and to hopefully find the right school for me. A college where I can share my love for the sport and more importantly get a good education.
