To All the Coaches This May Concern,
Hello Coaches, my name is Sierra Bergdoll and currently attend Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana where we have accomplished amazing things. As a freshman, I was on the sectional roaster participating in our journey to the state finals – where we lost. As a sophomore, I was again on the sectional roaster making a return trip to the State Finals. However, this time the results were in our favor and we ended the 2014 year as Class 3A State Champions. That was the most exciting year of my life which offered the opportunity to experience the emotions of volleyball on the big stage. During the last two regular-season school schedules, I was the setter on the Junior Varsity team running a 6-1 offense and played every-single serve during both seasons. Each year was also concluded by being recognized with the Coaches Award.
I am an ambidextrous 2017 junior and plan to play volleyball at the next level in college, I'm not looking anywhere geographically specific at the moment, but I do want to play for a highly competitive program with a dedicated structure of success both in the classroom as well as on the court. I am a hard worker that is willing to do whatever it takes to put myself and my teammates at the top with the spirit of being pushed by teammates and coaches to be the best.
I have grown up in a competitive household with my brother and both my parents being athletes. Our mutual dedication and support for one another has influenced me to be who I am on and off of the court. I was introduced to the game of volleyball as a 2nd-grader and have been committed to study, learn, and train to be the best possible player since. AAU volleyball allowed the opportunity to become real for me as an 11-year old participant. The past 5-years of AAU and the 2-years prior to that as a junior manager for the high school team as offered me exposure to develop good court vision, strong leadership skills, and the understanding of what it takes to be a Champion.
Most importantly, I am on track to graduate high school with an Honors Academic Diploma which will provide the foundation for me to study Pre-law as an under-graduate and continuing on with Law School. It is my life-goal to become a sports agent for the National Football League. This may seem like a crazy thing to achieve, but I was inspired by one of my mother’s good friends.
