Shelby Mudd '17 Recruiting Profile

        My name is Shelby Mudd. I am a 5'9 setter attending Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, In, graduating in the class of 2017. I am also playing Club Volleyball at one of the most competitive clubs in the country, Team Indiana Volleyball, under the direction of Michelle Coleman. Playing for the most respected and toughest organizations in High School and Club Volleyball,  gives me a unique edge in being a candidate for a highly competitive college team. 

  At Cathedral High School, girl's volleyball is a dynasty of amazing players, and I am so honored to be a part of this team. I played JV my Freshman and Sophomore year, being named Team Captain both years, as the starting setter. I played Varsity my Junior Year as co-setter, backup setter for the 2015 National Champions!! I got tons of playing time, and love being a part of this Championship program. My coach, Coach K was just named Prep Volleyball's Coach of the Year! 

       In my current Club Season as starting setter for Team Indiana 17 Elite, I am getting the most amazing experience any High School athlete could ask for. Between team practices, and positional lessons I am receiving, I am getting faster, stronger, and becoming the champion this club expects every single day.  My Coach, Michelle Coleman, is leading our team to victory after victory. We won the MLK Challenge 17-18s in Ft. Wayne.  

    In school, I am taking Honors Classes, and hope to study Biology, and Genetics when I get into College.. I am really looking forward to the journey of finding the right college for me, and being an invaluable asset to my school's Volleyball Program! 

My fun fact: I am the only Volleyball athlete in the COUNTRY to win both an AAU National Championship and High School National Championship in 2015!!
