Personal Statement
My goals for college are simple, be the very best student I can be. Go in with determination and achieve all that I can, become the very best version of myself. Every athlete will tell you, "I am hardworking and determined," they will tell you, "I will always try my best and let nothing come between me and my dreams." For me it is the same thing, I will never stop working. I push myself to achieve greatness because I know I can. I know I am on the smaller side of the spectrum, and that's what lights the fire beneath my feet. That's what motivates me to keep going. I believe with athletes, you should not spend your time trying to convince others. With me, I try to stop convincing and start proving. I give my all on and off the court, whether this be on or off the court. This means in my studies as well. I want to improve my skills on the court and in the classroom. Being told "you're too short," or "you're not athletic looking enough" doesn't stop me, not for one second, it motivates me. It's time to stop saying "I can't" and start saying "I can".
