Personal Statement

My goals are to play volleyball at the college level while getting a degree in either veterinary medicine or marine biology. I have been an A student throughout school, although I did obtain a B in a high school Honors class and AP class.

I am very competitive. I like to play on a team because I like being a contributor in the leadership of the team. I am dedicated to my coach, team and the sport. I am very focused during play, very calm and level headed, yet I encourage my teammates.

My greatest volleyball accomplishments are making 1st Team All-Conference my junior year and 2nd Team All-Conference my senior year of high school.  Also receiving the best serving percentage all four years in high school. I was also the 3rd in the state for digs my junior year and top 10 in the state my senior year.

I have played club volleyball for the past six years, starting at age 10. My first two years I played up an age division as a Libero, then the next three years I played at a larger club (Pineapple SportOne in Ft. Wayne, Indiana) where I played on National teams as a Libero and a DS. My last year at Pineapple SportOne Club season my 16 National team placed 1st place in the Silver Bracket at Nationals in Orlando under Coach Scott Lauer . While playing for Lloy Ball's club, Team Pineapple, last club season. I played Libero on the 18s.  I played Libero in high school, my freshman year, as the starting libero on JV; one of only three Freshman to play JV. I also played DS during Varsity tournaments and Sectionals during my freshman year of high school. As a sophomore I started on Varsity as DS, one of only four sophomores to play Varsity. As a Junior and this year as a Senior in high school, I was the starting Libero on Varsity .

Athletics have always been a part of who I am. I played softball from the age of 9-14 and was asked to play 3rd base on Varsity for my high school softball team, but instead chose to play tennis, as I felt it was more competitive and had more action where I could use my volleyball skills too. So my freshman year, I played on the JV tennis team in high school, and my sophomore and junior years I played #3 Singles on the CCHS Varsity Tennis team.

Family, God, volleyball,  animals and grades are always my focus.
