MaKayla Bell '17 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with the game of volleyball by the age of 10.  I attend a very small high school, everyone literally knows everyone!  No matter the size, like most schools, volleyball at the varsity level has always been highly competitive!  Thanks to the work ethic instilled in me by my parents and the varsity coach during my freshman year, I trained hard and by my sophomore year I was a varsity starter!

During my high school career we have had 3 different varsity coaches!  I feel that what I have learned from each of them, along with the club/travel coaches, I now have the leadership skills to positively impact any team I'm a part of!

Besides the love of the sport, I find it interesting how different a persons lifestyle can be just by having a degree.  I have 4 older siblings and only 1 out of the 4 started and completed their college degree!

I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically.  I would really like to stay "close to home".  By that I mean a drive of no more than 6 hours.   I believe I have the talent to compete at the college level!  I know I will be an asset to whatever team I'm a part of!!
