Personal Statement
My sports career started by being a gymnast. At a young age I was training 22 hours a week, becoming one of the top gymnasts in Indiana. I believe the skills I learned in gymnastics, especially balance and agility, has made me extremely affective as a defensive specialist and libero. I also began playing volleyball at the age of 9 in the midst of gymnastics training. I am currently only committed to playing volleyball and want to further my athletic career with a Division I volleyball program. I play club volleyball at KeAloha and for Laporte High School. While my current club season has been suspended due to COVID-19, I am training and looking forward to my Junior year at Laporte High School. I have been appointed captain for preseason and I am really enjoying the leadership role. My High school coach, Jessica Ramirez ([email protected]) and Craig Cromwell ([email protected]) are more than happy to speak as well.
Although volleyball is important to me, I put my academic success as first priority. I want to study pre-medicine in my undergraduate, so having this option wherever I play is a must.
