Abby Vancampen '22 Recruiting Profile

My Christian values and academic goals are extremely important to me, as well as my desire to play volleyball in college. I plan to pursue a degree in exercise science/physical therapy, therefore finding a college with this major is a necessity. I have been playing volleyball since the age of twelve and love the fast-paced action and camaraderie that the sport provides. What I lack in height I make up for with quickness and tenacity. I am a good teammate, coachable, and know how to adapt, improvise, and overcome. At the age of eight, I was diagnosed with Attention-deficit disorder (ADD). Since that time through treatment and hard work, I have persevered to become an honor roll student. My years as a competitive gymnast along with participating in team sports such as volleyball and softball, as well as life in general, has taught me to deal with adversity, take responsibility for my actions, and develop a good work ethic. I am looking forward to the college volleyball recruiting process and upcoming campus visits.
